Character is forged through the furnace that is life.

I have learnt the following things recently.

1) I find it very hard to motivate myself to start something. Prime and classic example is studying. When I used to get a uni project, I always said I'll start it asap so I can finish it early. But I always end up finishing it LAST MINUTE. Every new year or new semester I say wow, I'm gonna change this time. I'm going to study throughout the semester/year instead of cramming all that work in a few days before the exams. But yeah It hardly ever works out that way. Which brings me to the next point...

2) When I have started something, I find it hard to finish it. If you read the example above, it is extremely appropriate because I never see through the whole semester/year studying as I go along. I always ALWAYS end up cramming hard at the end. Too much stress.

There are many more examples evident in my life. When I want to start something, I always end up procrastinating and end up starting it later than I initially intended. When I started something, I always procrastinate and hardly ever finish it. So I've decided to change these two things proactively. I'm not going to dabble in many things without finishing it, I'm going to finish everything I start and work towards my goals. It's been part of my new years resolution this year and so far it's going pretty well. Cross your fingers for me...
